MUMBAI : 2022 is all set to end soon, and clearly, the year has not been great for Bollywood. While a few films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and others did well at the box office, many biggies like Samrat Prithviraj, Laal Singh Chaddha, and more turned out to be disasters. Now, Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2’s success has surely given the industry a new ray of hope.
Today, let’s look at the list of the films that have made it to the top 5 weekends of the year…
Brahmastra

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra did well at the box office, and on its first weekend, it collected Rs. 120.75 crores at the box office, which is excellent. The film is till now the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year with a collection of Rs. 257.44 crores.
Drishyam 2

Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 has performed very well at the box office in its first weekend. The movie minted Rs. 64.14 crores in three days.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Everyone thought that maybe Kartik Aaryan won’t be able to pull audiences to the theatres with a franchise that was started by Akshay Kumar. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 became a hit at the box office and collected Rs. 55.96 crores in its first weekend.
Ram Setu

Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu failed to make a mark at the box office. But, it’s there in the top five as it collected Rs. 55.48 crores in its extended first weekend.
Samrat Prithviraj

Well, you can see that Bollywood was so weak this year that in the top 5 weekends list we have 2 films that were disasters at the box office.
