MUMBAI: After the first motion poster was released on Chiranjeevi's birthday, the megastar's upcoming film Acharya landed into trouble. Writer Rajesh Mandoori reportedly accused the makers of the film for making the film on his script. According to the writer, he had narrated the script to Mythri Movie Makers a few years ago and has alleged that the storyline was passed on to the production house and Koratala Siva, who has been associated with the banner since Srimanthudu's release in 2015. A report stated that the Writers' Association has made a decision in favour of Chiranjeevi's Acharya. Meanwhile, the makers of the upcoming film have released a statement stating that claims are ridiculous and that only a few members from the film were aware of what the script is all about.
"It is unacceptable to defame a reputed filmmaker like Koratala Siva. In fact, the claims being made are unfounded and seem to be based on the speculative and rumoured stories in the print and electronic media. Therefore, any claims with the respect to the story are baseless, false and are solely based on assumptions," read a part of the statement released by the makers of Acharya.
The motion poster for released recently and it received good response on social media. The intense BGM in the motion poster has already left the audience amazed.
The upcoming film is being produced by Konidela Production Company, and it is said to be Ram Charan's dream project. It should be noted that about 40 per cent of the film’s shooting has been finished and the makers are looking forward to start the shoot again and present the film to the audience.
