Chitrangada Singh divorces her husband

If reports are to be believed, then actress Chitrangada Singh has divorced her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa. The divorce was granted last year in November 2013. The couple had approached the family court in May, last year with their petition seeking a divorce. The court had asked them to reconsider their decision till the next hearing which happened on 11 November 2013. However, since both Chitrangada and Jyoti were going through a rough patch for long they mutually decided to divorce and the same was reportedly granted on 11th November 2013. The couple has one child named Zorawar whose custody has been granted to Chitrangada. Chitrangada's lawyer Osama Suhail was quoted telling that media that he can neither deny nor confirm the divorce since it is a matter of public record. Reports of marital discord first surfaced when Chitrangada decided to pursue a career in films as her husband and her family were allegedly not too happy with her decision. Reports of her alleged closeness with director Sudhir Mishra too apparently didn't go down well with her husband's family. We tried reaching Chitrangada for a response but her phone was switched off.
