Deepika's 8-minute combat scene with Rajinikanth being pumped up

Deepika Padukone has always been athletic....and sporting. Not one to shun any kind of physical challenge she took on a fight sequence with the invincible Rajinikanth in the spirit of a challenge. After all when you take up a fight with the mighty Rajinikanth you know you have to lose. Apparently Deepika was so agile on her feet that it became difficult to make her defeat look convincing. Says a source, “The fight sequence where Deepika will be seen doing various forms of martial arts while challenging the mighty Rajinikanth’s invincibility has turned out to be one of the highlights of the film.” Says a source, “Everyone in the team felt the fight between Rajiniji and Deepika was the film’s highlight. So it's being spotlighted as one of the film's USPs” Says the film’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth, “Shooting the fight between my father and Deepika was exciting. It was great fun. We’re sure it will be a highlight in the film.” Adds the film’s co-producer Dr Murli Manohar, “Rajiniji has never been shown locked in a physical combat with his any of his heroines before. This is the first time his fans will see him fighting with his heroine.”
