This year, not many Bollywood films have made a mark at the box office. Ajay Devgn had two back-to-back flops with films like Runway 34 and Thank God. All eyes were on Drishyam 2, but even the film was in a risky zone as remakes haven’t been doing well at the box office. However, the movie has taken a flying start at the box office with the first day collection of Rs. 15.38 crore. But, did Drishyam 2 make it to the top five openings of the year? Find out below…
Brahmastra

After being in the making for around five years, Brahmastra was released on 9th September and took a bumper opening of Rs. 36 crores. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer went on to do well at the box office.
Drishyam 2

So, with a collection of Rs. 15.38 crore, Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran starrer Drishyam 2 is at the second position in the top five openings of the year. Now, let’s wait and watch how the film performs in the upcoming days.

Ram Setu

While Ram Setu is a flop, it took an opening of Rs. 15.25 crore which was decent. It was a Diwali release, but further, the film couldn’t be stable at the box office.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a hit at the box office and on day one, the film collected Rs. 14.11 crore.
Bachchhan Paandey

Bachchhan Paandey took an opening of Rs. 13.25 crore, but the Akshay Kumar starrer was a flop as it couldn’t show good growth and be stable at the box office.
