Srabanti Chatterjee, one of the popular actresses of Tollywood, says that her role of a crime journalist in Pallav Gupta's debut film, Sesh Sangbad, is a difficult one and she was nervous to essay the same.

Sesh Sangbad is a woman centric film, which will see the actress essaying the role of a TV journalist who covers the crime beat.

“I am playing the role of a crime journalist. She is bold and not scared of anyone. She does not think twice before covering any hard hitting issue. She tries to bring out the truth in front of people. She is a woman who takes care of her family as well as her profession,” Srabanti said about her character in the film.

She added, “It is a woman centric film and there is no hero in it. When I was offered the role I was a bit tensed that whether I would be able to pull it off or not. I gave my level best and now it is up to the audience to decide. I think every actress wishes to do a woman centric film in their career.”

When quizzed if she followed any journalist for inspiration or not, she quipped, “I prefer to play my roles in my own way to give them individuality.”

“However, I have researched on certain things like I have observed the expressions of real life journalists  and I have also watched few movies like No One Killed Jessica. I have observed Rani Mukerji’s attitude and expressions in the film, where she too plays a journalist,” she added.

When asked what does she think about the life of a journalist, she opined, “They lead a very tough life. Always ready to run for news, I think they do not even have time for themselves.”

Produced by Sky View Entertainment, Sesh Sangbad is slated to hit the screens soon.
