According to reports, the 52-year-old cricket player is struggling financially and health-wise. He lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently living off of a meagre Rs. 30,000 pension from the BCCI. Kambli's physical strength has decreased over time, making it harder for him to perform the same level of work as before. In a previous interview, he acknowledged that his childhood friend is aware of his difficulties, but he was reluctant to ask Tendulkar for financial help once more.

Tendulkar has already provided a great deal of assistance in the past, Kambli added, and he did not want to bother him further.
