MUMBAI: Guru Randhawa is enjoying the overwhelming response pouring in for his recently released independent album 'Without Prejudice', created in collaboration with Warner Music India. Guru's steady rise to the global level can be credited to his body of work in the Punjabi music space. Recently, Guru Randhawa expressed that Punjabi music genre has enjoyed long-lasting love from listeners because of its "ease of comprehension."
Speaking about the relevance of Punjabi music genre and the freedom to explore the space, Guru Randhawa says, “Every Punjabi artiste feels the genre has been popularised because of them, but the truth is that regional music has always [held a place in people’s hearts]. Because we have also experimented a lot, we have found success. I couldn’t have made songs like Lahore or Suit Suit if I was making them for films. They were successful because of the independence I enjoyed while creating them.”
Guru Randhawa is celebrated for churning out engaging songs that unites listeners. Whether it is 'Patola', 'Lahore', 'Suit Suit', 'High-Rated Gabru', or 'Ban Ja Rani' among others, his songs continue to rule the chartbusters even today. Adding to his vibrant list is his recently released independent album 'Without Prejudice', featuring nine tracks.
