Actors Hiran Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar have been roped in for Arindam Dey’s upcoming psychological thriller ‘Meher Aali’.
The director who has earlier churned out films like Goyenda Gogol and Chhaya Manush, this time will present the tale of a psychologically challenged person who will run away from an asylum. On the run, he would meet Sohini, and how the story takes unusual twists and turns leading to the climax, will be for viewers to see.
“Long after Jackpot, I am doing a different kind of a movie. I have visited mental hospitals in anonymity to study the behaviour and body language of the psychologically challenged people. It will be a landmark movie of my career,” Hiran said about the film.
When quizzed how challenging the role is, the actor added, “It is a very challenging role. I am essaying a character, different from what I am in my personal life. I am not comfortable at all but I hope to do a great job.”
Speaking about the factor that convinced Payel to give her nod to the role, she stated, “I was really fascinated by the script of Meher Aali. The movie resonates some crude and untouched dimensions of human life and the problems they come across.”
Payel was last seen in an adult comedy (Guddu Ki Gun) and now this thriller happened to her so when asked is Payel on an adventurous mood, when it comes to acting, the lady smiled and quipped, “It is very fortunate that such diverse roles are coming my way.”
