MUMBAI: Acting is not as easy as it looks.
It takes a lot to be someone you are not and especially if one is supposed to be extremely rude and insensitive onscreen for their character, it takes a toll on the person.
Remember Ranveer Singh expressed that he was moved and affected considerably while performing the ruthless Allauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat.
Another actor who has now expressed the difficulty in portraying a dark character is Vishal Jethwa who played the murderer in Rani Mukherjee’s Mardaani 2.
Vishal’s performance as a physchotic killer has won applause from the industry as well as from the audience.
Vishal took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the love that he is been receiving for his performance. He also expressed how difficult it was for him to play such an intense and dark character. He wrote: Sunny is a person no one should ever become. Our film warns of people like him. It was hard for me to become this monster Sunny, very hard. I was exhausted after this process because I was in a very dark place and I remember one day I couldn’t take it anymore and I broke down and kept sobbing for a long time. Your love is a huge validation that I did my best. I will try and only do better from here on.
