Yes you heard right. Her favourite subject was zoology, so she initially considered a career in medicine. Maybe her interest grew because of her father being a reputed biologist.

Later the actress proceeded with plans to become an architect, she enrolled at Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture, which is one of the famous Institute of Architecture in India located at heart of Mumbai but later her life took a massive 180 degree turn when she decided to give up her education to pursue a career in modelling.
After stepping in the world of modeling the rest is history as we know.

The actress made her acting debut in 1997 with Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar, a semi-biographical political drama.
On the work front Aishwarya was last seen in the movie Fanney Khan which was released in the year 2018, and will be next seen in Tamil movie Ponniyin Selvan.
