MUMBAI: Bangalore girl Nidhhi Agerwal has been pushing hard to make it big in the Bollywood industry. The beautiful actress made her acting debut in 2017’s Munna Michaelopposite Tiger Shroff and will soon make her debut in the South Indian film industry. If this was not enough, the Miss Diva 2014 finalist is also launching her own app to pull her fans closer to her.
In an exclusive tête-à-tête with TellyChakkar, Nidhhi spoke about her aspirations, her struggle and her projects.
Dressed in a cute dress, layered with a glitzy denim jacket, Agrewal was slaying the launch of her own app. From Bengaluru, Agrewal became a finalist in a beauty pageant and entered Bollywood in a short span. In one of her old interviews, the leggy lass confessed that looking at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on a billboard, she aspired to have big dreams. However, she feels that she hasn’t achieved it all. “The two people who have inspired me a lot are Deepika and Aishwarya. I don’t think so I have achieved everything that I wanted but I have started. I’m on that path and I’ll get there,” said an honest Nidhhi.
The actress hails from a simple family from Bengaluru. During the time when nepotism was a hot topic, she revealed her struggles to make it where she is today. “It’s very difficult,” she confessed on making an entry in Bollywood. According to her, it was never how big or successful film she will get. The contention was always getting a film in the first place. “Is it even going to happen? The possibility of it happening was so low. It is really tough,” she added.
Her family resides in Bengaluru while she is handling all the responsibilities single-handedly in Mumbai. “It’s a journey but this is still what I want. The more ups and downs I go through, the more interesting my autobiography would be,” she said.
As the conversation flows, Nidhhi subtly confessed her ordeal with rebuffing. Commenting on the same, she said, “I cannot deal with rejection or failure. I’m very bad at it. I hate it.”
Speaking about work, the chat shifted its course towards Nidhhi’s project with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame director Shree Narayan Singh under KriArj Entertainment. Due to the infamous issues that cropped up between the producers, the project never saw the light of the day. “I think the producers would be the best to talk about that. I wouldn’t want to say anything on that film,” the 24-year-old said on the update of the flick.
Despite the film in most probably being shelved or delayed, the actress doesn’t feel sad about it. “I think it was a great project because he is such a talented director. I would be lucky to work with him. It would have been a great opportunity,” Agrewal said about Shree Narayan, who is currently directing Shahid Kapoor- Shraddha Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu. “Maybe we will work at some point. Sometimes at the moment, you don’t know why it (something) is for the best but in the long run, I genuinely believe that whatever happens is for the best,” she continued.
What do you think of Nidhhi Agerwal
Interestingly, the actress who said she “won’t think twice” before posting on her app, firmly believes in the art of kindness and a validation of the same could be found in her Instagram bio. “For me as a person, what means the most is being kind. People talk about so many topics. I think if we were kind then there would be fewer problems,” Agrewal revealed that being kind is her mantra.
As the conversation reached its climax, the beautiful lady revealed her urge to do performance-oriented roles. “I want to do roles where I get the opportunity to perform. I want the people and critics to see and appreciate me as an actor. I’m really looking for that,” she concluded.
Her picture-perfect smile gave the conversation a full stop.
