Fans of Sunny Deol were waiting for Apne 2 but before that, Sunny Deol announced Jaat. The first look of Jaat was enough to create high anticipation. The Gopichand Malineni directorial trailer connected perfectly with the audience as it conveyed the action, the aggression and the emotions very well to the audience.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, it was discussed how elite class of people talk and discuss about ‘content-oriented’ movies while the response for massy movies have been amazing. Sunny Deol was asked whether even today, people want to watch massy movies.
Sunny Deol said, “Janta har tarah ka cinema dekhna chahti hai. I don’t believe ki yehi dekhna chahti hai. 99% humari janta hai who isse relate zyada karti hai. There’s other sector jo nahi karti but that’s okay. Isiliye toh hum tarah tarah ki filmein banate hai...end of the day, humein bhi mauka milta hai har tarah ka cinema karne ka nahi toh hum ussi mein phas jayenge. Box office isiliye kuch zyada ban jata hai because it’s relatable to everybody aur fir jo Elite class jo apne aap ko kehte hai woh dekhte hai chal gayi hai toh kehte hai ‘arey who dekhna hai who chal gayi hai toh main zaroor dekhunga’ and then they enjoy but woh maan’na nahi chahte hai ki they are enjoying the film. Bas itna hi fark hai aur kuch nahi.”
