MUMBAI: The fact that Vijay Deverakonda has a connection with Kalki 2898 AD is no longer a secret. The epic cameo of the Telugu actor in the Nag Ashwin-directed film was remarkable. In the movie as seen in Mahabharat, he makes an appearance alongside Ashwatthama, played by Amitabh Bachchan.

The unexpected cameo caught everyone off guard, and he has been showered with love from his followers. It was also mentioned by others that Vijay deserved to play a period drama. Amidst all of this praise. rumours regarding Vijay Deverakonda's fees for Kalki 2898 AD are circulating. Vijay reportedly completed the Kalki 2898 AD cameo for free. Vijay previously collaborated with Nag Ashwin on Yevade Subramanyam, the director's directorial debut.

According to a report by the popular news portal, Vijay did not charge a penny from Nag Ashwin for Kalki 2898 AD. The report also claimed that Vijay might reprise his role as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD’s sequel. Besides Vijay, the film also featured cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Faria Abdullah.

Vijay had also reviewed Kalki 2898 AD after its release. “Just watched the film. I don’t know what to say.. Overwhelmed. Indian cinema new level unlocked. Wth was that! I hope it makes a 1000 crores and more.. ❤️#Kalki2898AD,” he wrote on X. Vijay also changed his X profile picture to his look in the film.

Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin, has been a box office hit. In key parts, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan star in Kalki 2898 AD, which was released on June 27. Kalki 2898 AD has reportedly made more than Rs 500 crore at the global box office.

According to Sacnilk.com, on Sunday, Kalki 2898 AD made almost Rs 85 Cr in India. As a result, the movie made Rs 302 crore during its first weekend of release in India. The majority of the box office revenue collected thus far for Kalki 2898 AD has come from Telugu screenings.
