Kangana Ranaut calls Alia Bhatt ‘Karan Johar’s Puppet’; Alia responds

Kangana Ranaut calls Alia Bhatt
MUMBAI: Both Alia Bhatt and Kangana Ranaut are big names in Bollywood. The ladies earned name and fame with their strong performances in films. But it seems, Kangana is upset with Alia, and this has led to a kind of war of words between them.

As we all know, the Queen actress Kangana’s latest release Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was mired in a lot of controversies even before its release. The controversies continued even after the film hit the theatres.

Kangana said to media that Bollywood has neither supported nor praised her film. She took names of stars like Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt.

Her recent statement about the Raazi and Gully Boy actress shocked the nation. She said that Alia should raise her own voice.

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Kangana spoke about her telephonic conversation with Alia. She said, “I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism...if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo's (Karan Johar) puppet then I don’t consider her successful...I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value.”

Reacting to the same, Alia Bhatt said to another publication, “I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints. I don’t want to talk about it in the media. As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this."
