“I am so proud to say that our next offering is the 24th debutant filmmaker we have introduced to Hindi cinema! (Trivia for trollers: 90% of them are 'outsiders')
I rarely write notes before the release of a film but few films excite me, energise me and inspire me the way the process of this film has...” – mentions Karan Johar in the post.

Talking about Kesari, the first movie was based on the battle of Saragarhi which took place in 1897. The battle was an unforgettable one between 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British India Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen.
Earlier, we had reported that the release date of the second chapter will be 18th April, 2025 with a cast including Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday. While Kesari was directed by Anurag Singh, this time, Kesari Chapter 2 will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The movie will be produced by Dharma Production, Leo Media Collective & Cape of Good Films.
It is hinted that this time, the movie will be about the unfortunate Jallianwala Bagh massacre which took place in April, 1919.
