Kartik Aaryan finally reacts to his alleged rift with Karan Johar over Dostana 2; Says 'I don't have to prove anything to anyone'

MUMBAI : In 2021, Kartik Aaryan made headlines after it went viral that he would be starring in Dostana 2, which was supported by Karan Johar's production company. Only a few months later, Dharma Productions announced on social media that Dostana 2 would have a new cast "due to professional circumstances."

Afterward, it was revealed that Kartik backed off from the project because of creative differences, which caused a rift between KJo and him. The actor from Chandu Champion has now officially talked about it.

At the moment, Kartik Aaryan is busy with promoting Chandu Champion, his upcoming film. In addition to talking about the film directed by Kabir Khan with the popular news portal, he talked candidly about his alleged rift with Karan Johar.

Speaking of the same, he stated that the problem has been quite old now. He did add that there are frequent miscommunications and exaggeration of the situation for example, something sounds different in writing. In addition, he mentioned that since it occurred a few years ago, he hasn't talked about the problems until now.

The Shehzada star went on to say in Hindi, “Main tab bhi silent tha, aaj bhi silent hoon un baaton pe. Main 100% kaam karta hu lekin jab bhi aise koi khabar aati hai ya koi controversy aa jati hai to main apne shell mein rehta huin, main shant rehta huin. Main un cheezon mein zyada ghusta nahi hu, na kuch prove karne se mujhe kuch milta hai. (I was silent when the news came about and I choose to stay silent even now. I am 100% focused on my work and when controversies of such nature happen, I stay calm about them. I don’t get involved a lot in them and I don’t have to prove anything to anyone by getting involved).”

Kartik also added his two cents to the talk around his post following his exit from Dostana 2. He claimed he doesn't have any spokesperson or representatives who can represent his positive side in the media. He also mentioned that if producers and filmmakers are repeating him again in their projects, he must be doing something well.
