MUMBAI : Actor Kartik Aaryan made headlines lately when he rented out a Mumbai property for a whopping Rs 4.5 lakh a month. This data, which was extracted from property registration records made available by the proptech platform Square Yards, demonstrates Aaryan's entry into the fiercely competitive real estate sector of the city. On August 28, 2024, the apartment's lease and licensing agreement was recorded with a stamp duty payment of Rs 42,500, indicating a substantial outlay of funds.

The 1,912 square foot flat is situated in Juhu's upscale Presidency Co-operative Society in the Siddhi Vinayak Building, an area renowned for its opulent homes and star residents. This property was formerly acquired by Kartik Aaryan and his mother Mala Tiwari for a substantial amount of Rs 17.5 crore. The purchase, which also comes with two parking spots, wasn't without extra expenses; there was a Rs. 30,000 registration charge and a Rs. 1.05 crore stamp duty. The acquisition of the property was completed on June 30, 2024, although the paperwork was registered on June 30, 2023, one year earlier.
The family of Kartik Aaryan has previously been involved in well-known real estate deals. His mother, Mala Tiwari, signed a contract for a 3,681-square-foot condominium last year that belonged to fellow actor Shahid Kapoor. For a 36-month lease, the rent for this property was Rs 7.5 lakh per month, with a sizable security deposit of Rs 45 lakh.
