Kartik Aaryan will be the happiest if Akshay Kumar agrees to work in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

MUMBAI: Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a 2007 psychological thriller film. Starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles, it garnered critical acclaim and was also a huge commercial success. Now, the makers are returning with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The new film will see Kartik Aaryan playing the part of the lead protagonist.

While Kartik won hearts in the first look of the film, the most anticipated question that followed was whether or not Akshay Kumar will be seen in the sequel because admittedly, whenever we talk about Bhool Bhulaiyaa, we are only reminded of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Now during an interview with Mid-Day, Anees Bazmee, who will be headlining the sequel opened up on the possibility of Akshay Kumar to feature in the sequel. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is being helmed by Anees, it is written by Farhad Samji and Akash Kaushik, and the director says that the film is “being designed such that the superstar can be included in a special appearance.” In an interview, Annes, who has worked with Akshay Kumar in various films said that he would be more than happy to have Akshay sir in the film since they share a cordial relationship. “We haven't completed the script yet. There is an attempt to write a character that suits him even as the narrative stays in sync with the first film. I hope he likes the character and agrees to do it," said Bazmee, and added, “Kartik will be the happiest if Akshay says yes as he is a big fan. [His presence] will also widen the film's reach.”
