Hrithik Roshan’s acting journey is more than a year old in the film industry now. Although he started with a big bang with Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hain, his subsequent films tanked at the box-office. A revival of sorts happened with his father Rakesh Roshan’s Koi… Mil Gaya which hit the bull’s eye and Hrithik made a splash with his acting histrionics. The success of Koi… Mil Gaya paved way for the first superhero in Indian cinema – Krrish and since then there has been no looking back for Hrithik.
A very versatile actor, Hrithik has time and again proved his mettle by playing radically different roles, be it the mentally challenged Rohit in Koi Mil Gaya, the angry young man in Agneepath or a quadriplegic in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish. But it is Krrish’s character that Hrithik considers to be the most inspiring in his acting career. Talking about why Krrish is so special to him, Hrithik said, “I search for values from characters so that I can make myself a stronger and better person and the character of Krrish has had the maximum impact on me till date.”
Talking about the rigours that he had to put in while shooting for Krrish, Hrithik said, “I had to work for 80 days in spite of having a slipped disc and an injured cartilage. And there were times when I used to sit alone feeling the urge to give it all up. But the moment I used to don my superhero jacket, a mental shift used to happen inside my mind that would make me unstoppable.”
The superstar actor also launched the brand new jewellery collection for Krrish 3 which has been exclusively designed by his sister in law, Farah Khan Ali. Speaking fondly about the collection, Hrithik said, “Krrish is a symbol of courage, strength, power and harmony. A superhero is the one who believes life is less about you and more about the people around you who love you.”
Hrithik also recalled the brave fight he put up when diagnosed with a clot in his brain. “We all have the same problems and it is very easy to lose focus. Even when I went through trying times all that made me sail through was the symbol of a superhero which said Stand tall, head up and eyes on the stars,” revealed Hrithik.
Well we have to say, considering that it was major brain surgery, Hrithik surely made a superhero recovery.
