MUMBAI : Nitanshi Goel gained quick fame and admiration thanks to her breakthrough role in Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies. In addition to acting in television shows and films like Peshwa Bajirao, Thapki Pyar Ki, Karmaphal Daata Shani, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Indu Sarkar, Inside Edge, and Posham Pa, the 16-year-old who plays Phool Kumari in the movie recently won the Award.

Over the years, the young actor has collaborated with some of Bollywood's biggest stars. The Maidaan actor recalled a time when she got to work with Amitabh Bachchan and recalled about how humble Big B was around her and other kids on the sets of an advertisement film they collaborated on.

“When I first came to Mumbai, my first ever ad film which I featured in, was with Amitabh Bachchan sir. Of course, there were other kids, too, but there was also a sequence which featured just him and me. So he came up to me and said, ‘Chalo hum lines rehearse karte hain,” Nitanshi shared during a recent appearance on The Ranveer Show.

The young actor then narrated the knelt down and read lines with her. “Woh apne ghootnon pe baith gaye aur mere saath lines padhne large (Amitabh Bachchan sir knelt and rehearsed the lines with me). I was seated on a chair. He wanted our heights to be the same while going through our lines. I thought he was extremely humble,” she shared.

Another thing that surprised Nitanshi Goel was that, even though the senior actor was exhausted from a full day of filming, still he made time to hang out with the child actors after pack-up.

“Unhono apne bodyguards ko bola ‘main sab bacchon ko ek ek selfie doonga‘(He informed his bodyguards that he was going to click selfies with us). After pack-up, he actually sat down with all of us and clicked pictures. We were thrilled. We hugged him as if he were our own grandfather. Dadaji nanaji jaise lag rahe the,” recalls Nitanshi, adding that Amitabh's cute gesture has stuck with her and acts as a regular reminder for her to maintain her grounding.

Laapataa Ladies, which debuted in cinemas and was directed by Kiran with Aamir Khan serving as co-producer, broke records when it was released on Netflix in April with 13.8 million views, surpassing the number of views for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal.
