Word is around film circles that the Censor Board has granted Madhur Bhandarkar's ambitious project Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor an ‘A’ certificate.
But folks, there is something to be clarified. Only the film’s promo has got an “A” certificate, not the movie, which is still at the editing table.
On the issue, Bhandarkar went on to tweet, “As expected got an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board. Countdown begins for the launch of the poster and promo of Heroine.”

For further clarifications, when Movie Chakkar got in touch with the director, he said, “The movie is still in the edit stage. Hence the question of getting any certificate does not arise. Only the film's trailer has got ‘A’ certificate,” he added.
Heroine is a daring, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind-the-scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that our film stars inhabit. “For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of makeup rooms and vanity vans. It will give them a chance to go beyond the gorgeous smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of India's sweethearts,” observed Bhandarkar.
The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Lilette Dubey among others.
Heroine is expected to hit the theatres on September 14 (2012).
It may be remembered that Heroine had earlier run into trouble when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the then leading lady backed out of the film due to her pregnancy. This made Bhandarkar to rope in Kareena Kapoor for the role.
