Madhur Bhandarkar's next to see Deepika playing a supermodel

After his last film Heroine, Madhur Bhandarkar is planning to make a new film that would be based on the life journey of a supermodel. The story will depict the challenges and hardships faced by the model during her professional career and also the limelight she enjoys. It is being rumored that Bhandarkar is thinking of roping in Deepika Padukone to play the lead. The director feels that the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress is apt for this project as she too has been a successful model. So much so, the filmmaker has even gone ahead and approached the gorgeous lady in this regard. Bhandarkar’s films have always managed to garner appreciation. His 2008 release Fashion starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead also showed the journey of a model; it showed her rise and subsequent fall. Not only did the film turn out to be a hit, it also won several awards. His last film Heroine that featured Kareena Kapoor focused on the harsh realities of a heroine's life. The film touched the real life issues faced by an actress. As far as Deepika is concerned, she has been lately promoting Chennai Express that is slated for a release next month. Besides this, she is also looking forward to Sanjay Leela Bansali's film Ram Leela in which she has been paired with Ranveer Singh.
