MUMBAI: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's relationship will always be a major highlight in the Bollywood industry. Salman and Katrina met each other on the sets of Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and the two soon fell in love with one another. However, their relationship quickly worsened, and their differences resulted in a painful separation. However, the two have maintained a friendly relationship, and Salman never fails to display his admiration for Katrina whenever the opportunity arises. 

But, you might be amazed to know that Salman had once proposed marriage to Katrina on her 24th birthday.  As per a report by Rediff.com, Salman threw a big birthday bash for Katrina which was graced by various celebrities.  Famous actors and actresses like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Katrina's mother and sister attended the bash.

There, Salman went down on his knees in front of everyone to propose to Katrina as the night began to shine. The DJ even played the title track of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. But the actress was stunned with the proposal. One of the sources from the outlet mentioned that Katrina didn't know how to react with Salman's gesture.

Salman, now 55, is still not married. He had once hinted through his blog that he won't get married. He wrote, "There is a saying, 'Shaadi woh laddoo hai joh khaye woh bhi pachtaye jo naa khaye woh bhi pachtaye. And I don't like sweets, so it does not concern me."
