Manjari Fadnis on keeping Navratris every year with family and how special this is to her

MUMBAI: 1. Navratis has always been special for you and your family it seems how many years since you have been celebrating it in your own small way ?

Its an ancestral tradition in our family since 100s of years, passed on to generations… & Its more like a simple private homely celebration with minimalistic decorations & Aarti morning & evening, & of course an important part is the Akhand Jyot for 9 continuous days. 
Also mom makes home made prasad which is mostly besan ke ladoo in the day & Panjiri in the evening. & Through the 9 days something special gets adding in the day, like sometimes Puran Poli which mom makes like noone else.. Its the Best thing ever. & on Ashtami, chana puri halwa… & Lots of other yummm stuff. Even though mom herself mostly keeps a fast.

2. ⁠How important are these 9 days to you and do you also make sure all important work and decisions you take on these days ?

Of course these 9 days are very important for my family. These 9 days my parents are always home & plan everything around it, though we arent superstitious about taking important decisions, work related or otherwise, specifically around that time. We believe everything done at whatever day or time with a pure intention by itself is auspicious enough. 
My parents prefer that i be home those 9 days at Pune. But they’ve kept it flexible for me, since my line of work is so unpredictable as shoots come when they come & we do believe prayers reach from anywhere we are, so if im not able to be in Pune, i get on video call most days of the aarti. But of course i try my best to come home for at least 1 day during these 9 days. 
In fact this year after many many years im able to be home at Pune for all the 9 days of Navratri.

3. ⁠Your OTT recent release has been par excellence and it’s so good to see you back with a bang any more projects we can see you in anytime soon ?

Thankuuu so much 🤗 yes you will see me soon in a film Pune Highway Zindagi Namkeen & Penthouse.

4. ⁠You have started releasing a few singles as well and they are a treat to watch what next in that regard ?

So happy to hear that reaction. Thanks so much. Means a lot. On that front, a new single of mine is soon gonna be out. Its a lovely composition by Gourov Dasgupta, called Titli Ki Awaargi.  & Then there is another beautiful song ive worked on recently which im very excited about… will talk about that closer to the release.
