MUMBAI: Arjun Kapoor gave an amazing performance as Danger Lanka in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. His comeback was celebrated by audiences that turned into his fan base, adding more to his fan-following.
Now, the actor is all set for a comedy movie ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ and to make things even more exciting, the movie will feature Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh as female leads.
Bhumi Pednekar has been winning hearts since the moment she has entered the Hindi movie industry, be it with her performance in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha or Saand Ki Aankh. The actress always gives her best and never feels to amaze us.
On the other hand, Rakul Preet Singh, who got married in February last year will feature in her first Hindi movie after her wedding and there’s no doubt about her making her presence as she has always made her name in the trends on social media with her pictures and social media posts.
Now, in an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Bhumi Pednekar talked doing a variety of roles, be it as an overweight lady or any other role.
When asked about where she gets the courage for taking up her first role and playing an overweight lady, Bhumi Pednekar said, “Honestly, it was an opportunity that I had prayed for. I wanted to become an actor when I was 12, I got Dum Laga Ke Haisha when I was 23. Woh 11 saal maine bhagwan se ek hi cheez mangi hai ki mujhe actor bana de aur jab woh opportunity mere saamne aayi ke aapko ek Yashraj film mein main lead ban ne ka mauka mil raha hai toh agar aap kehte na ki sar mundwa do, main sar bhi mundwa deti. I feel very fortunate that even though I don’t come from a film family, I come from a very humble beginning. At least when I started my journey my life was very different then and where I’m sitting today is probably the dream of millions and millions of people and I was one of those million people for who Dum Laga Ke Haisha happened. Main kuch bhi karti meri pehli film ke liye. Woh meri kismat thi ki who itne ache director the, inti achi script thi, itna acha production house tha, my co-actor was so lovely and that film just turned out to be what it did. Anu Malik sir ne kya music diya uss film ka. Sharad sir kya level ke director hai. Adi sir, manish Sharma, Ayushmann Khurrana, I was just lucky ki meri pehli film mein itni brilliant energies attached thi ki who aisi film ban gayi. You know ho sakta hai ki who aisa nahi hota, toh who meri kismat thi lekin ab 10 saal ho jayenge mujhe kuch hi dino mein there isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t thank my stars...”
Mere Husband Ki Biwi is directed by Mudassar Aziz and stars Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on 21st February.
