MUMBAI: Actress Alia Bhatt is becoming well-known abroad in addition to winning over Indian viewers. Alia recently attended the Met Gala 2024 fashion's biggest night for the second time in a row, she looked stunning and won over many hearts with her floral saree ensemble.
She talked about how excited she was and how much she loved the saree before heading out to walk on the carpet.

Before walking the red carpet at the Met Gala in 2024, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt talked about her feelings on the momentous occasion with the well-known news source. She said, “I’m feeling great; I’m feeling very excited.” Alia further remarked, “Months of preparation, lots of conversation. It all builds up to this one moment. It's so real, but it’s also so special.”
Talking about her outfit for the grand occasion, Alia revealed that the designer behind the creation was Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She stated that while it was her second appearance at the Met Gala, she was wearing a saree at the event for the first time.
Alia mentioned that she felt the dress code of The Garden of Time needed something “timeless” while discussing the reason behind choosing a saree. She added, “There is nothing more timeless than a saree." Bhatt also spoke about the hand embroidery on her saree, disclosing that it was the work of more than 1900 man-hours and 163 craftspeople.
She stated, "I'm so excited to bring all of that out to the world for everybody to see because it has taken a lot of love, labor, and effort. And anything that’s gotten love and time lasts forever, like the garden.”
Alia teased her Instagram fans with her appearance by sharing a picture of her silhouette before going to the Met Gala. "Met set go," she captioned the photo.
Regarding her acting career, Alia is getting ready for the September 27, 2024, premiere of her action thriller Jigra. She is working alongside actor Vedang Raina of The Archies for this Vasan Bala-directed film.
