Mika slaps doctor; booked for causing hurt

Mika Singh

Enfant terrible Mika is at it again. The controversial singer slapped a doctor in front of a live audience yesterday in Delhi at Delhi Ophthalmological Society's conference where he had a live show.

In a video that has now surfaces on YouTube, Mika is seen arguing with a man on stage now identified Dr. Shrikant. The video grab shows an animated Mika vociferously arguing with the doctor and then gesticulating that he (Mika) would slap him. Seconds later, Mika landed a resounding slap on the doctor's right cheek that almost caused the latter to lose his balance. And before the doctor could react, Mika asked his bouncers to take him away and continued with his singing nonchalantly.

Dr. Shrikant who is an ophthalmologist posted at Ambedkar Hospital reportedly suffered some internal injury inside his left ear due to the assault.

It is said that Mika called on a few members from the audience while performing and Dr. Shrikant happened to be one of them and something said by the doctor irked Mika that ultimately led to him losing his cool and landing the doctor a slap on his face.

The incident sparked off a strong protest by other doctors that ultimately made police intervene and register an FIR against Mika.

Mika couldn't be reached for a comment immediately.
