Here we bring a piece of good news for all the fans of funny man Mir!
Readers, the actor, who is also a radio jockey, singer and anchor, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Sandeep Nath's DNA Mein Gandhiji.
In the film Mir will be seen playing the role of Prafulla Tarafdar, owner of an ad agency who prides in all things Bengali.
About the film he shared with a daily, “Sandeep is a well-known writer-lyricist in Mumbai. His song Sun raha hai na tu was a rage. He came down from Mumbai to convince me to take up the role and that was quite heartwarming. He narrated the whole script without even having the papers in his hand! That got me hooked.”
“DNA Mein Gandhiji is a political satire, which will laugh at the society, all the while throwing light on how we use each other to our benefit,” he added.
Commenting on his character in the film, he said, “Prafulla is not the main character, but is important nonetheless. In Prafulla’s ad agency, the protagonists come to work and the story unfolds.”
The shooting of the film will begin from 22nd July.
Good luck, Mir.
