MUMBAI: Filmmaker Mohit Suri and Aditya Roy Kapur’s first collaboration, ‘Aashiqui 2’ was a hit. They reunited recently for their latest release, ‘Malang’.
While they are basking in the success of the film, fans just cannot help but ask if ‘Aashiqui 3’ is in the pipeline. As per sources, Aditya opened up about the reports of him getting together with Mohit Suri once again for ‘Aashiqui 3’. Speaking about the same, he said, 'I don't know. This is news to me too. I haven't heard anything about Aashiqui 3.'
Elaborating further, he added, 'You will have to ask Mr Suri. I find it tough to think about a film as something you want to be part of before you know what it's about. On the face of it, of course, one would want to. I would want to keep working with Mohit and do more and more films with him. Malang is a film that's very close to my heart. I've been involved with that film from day one. But of course, Mr Suri is the man in the driver's seat. He knows better than me.'
Mohit Suri had earlier spoken to us about how Aditya has evolved as an actor since ‘Aashiqui 2’. Commenting on the same, he added, 'I think, of course, you hopefully evolve with time. I think you evolve with every experience as an actor, and the more you work the more you learn about your process about, you're always learning. Every day is a different onset. Every day is a new challenge.'
'So definitely, I think we've both gone and done quite a bit of work in the last six years and done quite a few films which have kind of helped me to evolve and grow as an actor. So definitely, I'm sure he would have seen a change.'
'You know, six years is a long time. And I think fundamentally we’re the same but for me to have been able to build this kind of body and do both roles. Even I doubt I'd be able to have done it that time.'
‘Malang’ starred Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Elli AvrRam. The movie received a mixed response from the audience and critics alike.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will next be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’. The movie will star original actors Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt along with Alia Bhatt and Gulshan Grover.
