MUMBAI: The Lion King is one of the most cherished Disney stories ever told and it’s one that has been passed on through generations. We all know the story of Simba how he sees his father Mufasa die, breaks apart from his family, discovers the mantra of life ‘Hakuna Matata’ and on knowing about the trouble on his family, he goes back to rescue them and avenge his father’s death by killing his uncle.
However, there is a story before that which is quite unheard and deserves all the attention. Well, Disney is here with just that and it’s time we get to know about it. A long time before Simba, it was Mufasa’s life and journey about how he ended up being who he was – The Lion King. That journey will be told in ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, Disney's latest live-action movie.
Disney has released the first trailer of the movie which looks incredibly fascinating and insightful. Take a look at the trailer below:
Directed by Barry Jenkins, this prequel tells the story of a young Mufasa. For English language version, Aaron Pierre will be lending his voice for the character of Mufasa. However, when it comes to Hindi language, the voice is still yet to be revealed. If you remember correctly, the last Lion King movie had Shah Rukh Khan as the voice of Mufasa while Aryan Khan was the voice for Simba. Well, the fans of SRK are now eager to know if their favourite star will be back as the voice of Mufasa in this movie.
Well, only time will tell who will be the voice of Mufasa. Meanwhile, we can only wish and keep our fingers crossed.
