MUMBAI: Alia Bhatt is receiving quite some appreciation for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The film hit the theatres on February 25, 2022, and ahead of the same, Alia was promoting the crime drama actively.

Now, in a clip doing the rounds, we can see Alia dressed in a printed saree with a white sleeveless blouse. She has styled her hair in a neat ponytail and added a red flower to complete the look. For the promotions of the film, Alia picked a white colour palette.

While she was promoting the movie, a clip has gone viral where the actress was about to get hit by a tree branch.

She's seen waving at her fans and posing for paps not paying attention to her surrounding. Amidst this, the bus moves past a tall tree and Alia is about to get hit by one of the branches. Thankfully, a photographer who accompanied her on the bus saves her. He is seen lifting the branch up so Alia can duck.

For the uninitiated, the film stirred some controversy when the court has dismissed a plea by Babu Ravji Shah, who claims to be the adopted son of the real Gangubai. He claimed that the film is defamatory. He sought an injunction against the film's producers, actress Alia Bhatt and authors S Hussain Zaidi and Jane Borges, who wrote the book on which the film is based.
