MUMBAI: Recently, the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi was launched. It is getting an amazing response from the audience. The movie, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is based the life of Gangubai, a sex worker from the red-light areas of Kamathipura in Mumbai.

Fans are indeed not keeping calm and praising the trailer and the performance of the Alia Bhatt in it. We are going to see the actress in a completely different avatar in this upcoming movie. The other name being spoken about is Vijay Raaz, who is also seen in a different avatar.

As we all know, the character played by Vijay Raaz is very similar to the character played by the late actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar in the movie Sadak. Sadashiv Amrapurkar played the character Maharani, which is said to be one of his best performances.

Sadashiv Amrapurkar played an evil transgender pimp who runs a brothel. From the trailer, the glimpses we have seen of Vijay Raaz show that he is also playing a similar character. Sadashiv Amrapurkar's performance in Sadak was commendable, and his character is remembered till today by fans.

Having said that, we look forward to seeing what Vijay Raaz has to offer, as his glimpses from the trailer are setting social media on fire. Fans are expecting his finest performance to date.
