MUMBAI : Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala exchanged rings, elevating their relationship to a new level on August 8, 2024. After two years of dating, the pair have decided to start their lifelong journey together. The newly engaged couple's first official pictures were posted by Nagarjuna.
The couple's family members were present at the intimate ceremony. Nagarjuna had an interview shortly after the event, during which he discussed the reason for it in great detail. He also disclosed the nature of Chaitanya's relationship with his prospective in-laws.
In an interview with the well-known news outlet, Nagarjuna was asked how pleased the couple's family members were with their decision. Nagarjuna revealed that everyone was ecstatic to hear of Sobhita and Chaitanya's engagement.
He also revealed the type of relationship Chaitanya has with Sobhita's family. Nagarjuna claims that everyone in the actress' family likes Chaitanya, which makes sense given that his kid is a fantastic young man.
Nagarjuna shared, "For Sobhita's family, they really like Chay. Can't blame them, my son is a gem of a boy. He deserves happiness. I am very proud that both my sons turned out to be fine men."
Nagarjuna, in the same interview, also revealed that while Naga Chaitanya has known Sobhita for two years, he has known the actress for six years. Nagarjuna revealed that he liked Sobhita's work in the movie, Goodachari. The actor called Sobhita a well-informed girl, and with the actress, he had a discussion on cinema, life, and philosophy.
When Sobhita and Chaitanya would get married was a question posed to Nagarjuna. In response, the actor revealed that August 8 was an auspicious date, which is why the engagement was rushed. Although Nagarjuna revealed that a hurried engagement was agreed upon by Chaitanya and Sobhita since they were certain they would get married, the wedding was not near.
The couple's Nischitaardham (engagement) ceremony was carried out in Telugu tradition, according to the widely read news portal. Puja preceded the ceremony, which was then followed by a delicious vegetarian meal featuring Andhra cuisine and a dinner hosted by Nagarjuna.
Both Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati, his ex-wife, were present at the ceremony. Along with Sobhita's parents and sisters, Chaitanya's half-brother, Akhil, and stepmother, Amala Akkineni, attended the engagement ceremony. Online, a family photo from the occasion also appeared, and it was lovely.
Sobhita and Chaitanya honored their customs by dressing in classic Manish Malhotra costumes. The actress looked lovely in a Uppada silk saree with blush pink tones.
Kundan jewels gave more punch, such as a double-layered kundan necklace, a choker, matching kundan earrings, and an elegant Jada by Manish Malhotra. Chaitanya looked good donning his soft-toned engagement outfit.
