Amanda Stanton embarrassed over her arrest

Television presenter Amanda Stanton, who was arrested here for allegedly pushing her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs, feels bad for her act.

The former Bachelor contestant's rep Steve Honig told people.com that Stanton is embarrassed and ashamed of her act and has aplogised to hotel security and the Las Vegas police department.

Honings defended Stanton saying, she is a gentle and respectful person and will never involve herself with anybody under any circumstance.

He further said that Stanton had "a few drinks" at a friend's bachelorette party before hotel security confronted her and Jacobs after receiving a noise complaint.

"Amanda gave Jacobs what she thought was a playful shove. The hotel security did their job and reported the incident to the police, who in turn did their job.

"Despite Jacobs explaining this was not an ill-intended shove, the police still had to do their job which Amanda completely respects and understands, Honings added.

Stanton was reportedly released on Monday.

Robert Redford not sure about retirement

Robert Redford may have said he was retiring after The Old Man and the Gun, but the legendary actor and director isn’t so sure right now.

"I don't know if (The Old Man and the Gun) is the last one," variety.com quoted the 82-year-old star as saying.

But at the same time, he said, "I can't last forever."

In August, at the world premiere of the movie at the Telluride Film Festival, Redford told the crowd, "The truth is that I really do feel that it's time for me to move into retirement. I've been doing this since I was 21. I've put my soul and heart into it over the years. I thought, ‘That's enough. Why don't you quit while you're a little bit ahead? Don't wait for the bell to toll. Just get out'.

"So I felt my time had come and I couldn't think of a better project to go out on than this film."

Redford's The Old Man and the Gun co-star Sissy Spacek hopes this isn't his last film.

"We're going to have to talk him out of it," she said.

Halle Berry to make directorial debut with 'Bruised'

Actress Halle Berry is all set to step into director's shoes with the mixed martial arts film titled Bruised.

The Oscar winning actress will also produce the film and will star in it, reports suggest so.

In the film, Berry will portray a disgraced MMA fighter who has to face one of the rising stars of the MMA world and deal with the return of her six-year-old son to the mother he deserves.

Penned by Michelle Rosenfarb, Bruised is being developed with the EIS Company.

Apart from Bruised, the 52-year-old actress will be next seen in John Wick 3 and is attached to play the key defense role in remake of the 1985 thriller Jagged Edge.

Audience faints at Toronto film festival

One person in the audience had fainted during the Midnight Madness show on the first night of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) during the screening of the film Revenge, media reported.

"Suddenly there was screaming because the person next to them had fainted," an attendee of the TIFF's Midnight Madness opening night film has told the BBC.

The fainting occurred at the screening in 2017 of Revenge, a brutal feminist thriller directed by Coralie Fargeat.

In 2016, Julia Ducournau's horror film Raw, about cannibalism, resulted in ambulances being called to the scene, the BBC Culture said. This is not the kind of behaviour typically associated with film festivals.

But Midnight Madness, which includes the new Halloween starring Jamie Lee Curtis in its lineup as well as Shane Black's new film "The Predator", -- one of the most popular programming lineups at TIFF -- is so popular that an elaborate set of rituals has grown up around it.

The TIFF is being held from September 6 to 16.

In the photograph, Delevingne looks away from the camera as she grasps the bottom of her gold bedazzled mini dress, which has sheer mesh panels throughout.

Benson was first photographed kissing Delevingne on 14 August after they landed at London's Heathrow airport. While waiting for a taxi, they were spotted kissing multiple times, and Delevingne had her arm wrapped around Benson.

Jake Gyllenhaal hires a childhood friend to decorate his office

When actor Jake Gyllenhaal wanted to open shop in New York with his production company, Nine Stories, he tapped a childhood friend to design an unconventional office.

Interior designer Ariel Ashe, who along with partner Reinaldo Leandro has designed spaces for Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts and Seth Meyers, has a long history with the actor-producer as the two met as teenagers while vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, reportspeople.com.

"He's actually very funny. He did the best impression of a velociraptor when we were kids," she tells Architectural Digest in the October issue.

"Jake's office feels very serious, but there are a few humorous moments and lots of personal memorabilia to inspire him," she added.

The actor founded the film, TV and theater production company with business partner Riva Marker. It is housed in a SoHo apartment building, and feels more like a home than a high-powered showbiz office.

The 38-year-old singer, who is currently on his South America and Mexico solo tour, was so cut up about the tragic news that he contemplated cancelling his concert in Lima, Peru.

He tweeted: "I don't think I can perform tonight. I'm sorry, Lima."

Boyd Holbrook supports Olivia Munn

Actor Boyd Holbrook has expressed support for co-star Olivia Munn in the controversy over a sex offender cast in their upcoming filmThe Predator.

Fox Studios announced on 6 September that it had deleted a scene from Shane Black's The Predator after discovering it featured a registered sex offender Steven Wilder Striegel in a scene opposite Munn.

Holbrook issued a statement on Monday saying he was sorry for not responding more quickly, reports suggest so. "I want to start by apologising for this statement coming late in the current conversation," he said.

"I do not take any of what has gone on lightly, and I want to speak from the most honest and genuine place possible. I have stated before, and I will state it again, I am proud of Olivia for the way that she handled a difficult and alarming situation, and I am grateful that Fox took the information seriously and took action swiftly."

Fox removed the scene after Munn told the studio on 15 August about Striegel being a registered sex offender. Munn subsequently said that the studio initially didn't return her call for two days after she reported Striegel to the studio.

The Predator will release in India on 13 September, a day before of the US.

Viola Davis regrets her role in 'The Help'

Actress Viola Davis says she regrets her role in The Help.

"Have I ever done roles that I've regretted? I have, and The Help is on that list," nytimes.com quoted Davis as saying.

"But not in terms of the experience and the people involved because they were all great. The friendships that I formed are ones that I'm going to have for the rest of my life. I had a great experience with these other actresses, who are extraordinary human beings. And I could not ask for a better collaborator than Tate Taylor," she added.

Adapted from the 2009 Kathryn Stockett novel of the same name, The Help also featured Emma Stone as Skeeter Phelan, a young woman writing a book collected from the stories of black maids working in the segregated South.

The film shot Davis to national prominence as she earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Aibileen.

Talking about her regret, Davis said, "I just felt that at the end of the day that it wasn't the voices of the maids that were heard. I know Aibileen. I know Minny. They're my grandma. They're my mom. And I know that if you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and to bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it.

"I never heard that in the course of the movie.
