Race 4: Salman Khan steps out, Saif Ali Khan set to return to the action-packed franchise?

MUMBAI: The 2008 film is among Bollywood's most well-liked thriller series directed by Abbas Mustan and starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead role, launching the Race franchise. In the 2013 follow-up, Saif again starred. Salman Khan assumed the lead role for Remo D'Souza's third installment in 2018. Unfortunately, the box office response for this third movie was not spectacular. Salman was in the film with Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Fans of entertainment news should be excited to hear that producer Ramesh Taurani is planning to bring the franchise back with a fourth chapter. Salman Khan will not be returning as the lead actor.

The well-known news outlet reported that Saif Ali Khan will be returning to the Race franchise. According to a source close to the project, Saif and Ramesh Taurani have been talking about the fourth movie for a while now, and they have chosen to reboot the franchise.

According to the source, Saif Ali Khan is excited about returning into the race world, and filming for the film is slated to start in the first quarter of 2024. Though the base of the story of Race 4 has already been decided, the current focus is on writing the story. Along with an impressive cast, Saif will be joining the action thriller, and the producers are looking for someone new and trustworthy to direct the action thriller.

A few weeks ago, Ramesh Taurani stated in an interview that Saif was disappointed because Salman took his spot in the previous movie. It seems like the issue has been fixed, and Saif's return to action is soon for fans.

In the meantime, Koratala Siva's Telugu film Devara: Part 1, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jr. NTR will feature Saif Ali Khan this year. He also features in Priyadarshan's next thriller, in which Bobby Deol plays the villain.

However, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in Sikandar of AR Murugadoss's film. Next year at Eid, it will be released. Along with returning in devil mode, the superstar will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2.
