Radhika said to a source “It took me 2-3 days to grasp it. I was obviously updated about what's happening with him, Homi used to keep telling us about his condition. So, in a way we were prepared but still there was always a ray of hope. We always felt he would bounce back, so, when it actually happened, the realisation took place in a few days.” Reminiscing about his great contribution to cinema, she further added “It is a great loss but he has left a great legacy and we have to get inspired by the choices he made. The courage he had, the way he lived his life- that's what we need to learn from him".
While speaking about her experience working with him, she admired him for treating her like an actual daughter and making her comfortable. She said “It was him who made everything and everyone comfortable, right from the first day. He always treated me as his equal. All the credit goes to him. He was my dad, he was not The Irrfan Khan- an international star, or a legendary actor but just my dad, and he made sure I felt that way. And I also always looked at him like that when we were on-the-set."
