CHENNAI: Rajinikanth’s film Kaala is one of the most-awaited films of the year, where the superstar will be donning the role of a gangster. While Nana Patekar will be seen as the antagonist, Pankaj Tripathi will be portraying the role of a policeman in the film. And what looks like is that actor Pankaj Tripathi's team has beautifully managed to snap a candid picture of the three extremely talented actors on the sets of the movie, Kaala, in Chennai. The three actors are seen chilling and bonding in between shots on the sets.

Kaala tries to break away the notion that bad is the colour of evil and white, the colour of good by portraying the lead actor clad in black. The film is directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, Dhanush. The film, which has been in the pipeline for the last two years, also features Huma Qureshi who plays Rajini’s love interest Zareena.
This is Pankaj Tripathi's debut film in Tamil. He, recently, made his debut in Punjabi. The actor is currently filming for Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, an Anubhav Sinha direction and for Tigmanshu Dhulia's Criminal Justice remake.
Kaala is set to release worldwide on 7 June.
