Rajkumar Santoshi mulls remake of Khakee
Rajkumar Santoshi, known to have given us films of all genres except sci-fi, is mulling with the idea of making a sequel of his film Khakee and is talking to his favourite actors to be a part of the project. The original made in 2004 starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Atul Kulkarni, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rai and Tusshar Kapoor among many others. The original was the story of an Indian police team set out on a dangerous mission to transfer an accused Pakistani spy from a remote town in Maharashtra to Mumbai. So much was the film liked by the audience at large that it was later remade in Telugu as Satyameva Jeyathe. Santoshi’s last film made in 2003 was the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Phata Poster Nikla Hero that saw the return of Padmini Kolhapure after a long hiatus.
