MUMBAI: This weekend Sony Entertainment Television’s dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer vs. Super Dancer: Champions Ka Tashan’ promises a spectacular blend of dance and comedy as the dynamic duo, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, join the action! Lending their unmatched energy and wit, the comedy powerhouses will cheer for their favourite teams alongside the show’s team leads; Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur, and the legendary ‘Lord of Dance,’ Remo D’Souza. Adding to the excitement, Krushna Abhishek shares a delightful throwback story involving his very first performance with none other than Malaika Arora!
During a candid chat, Krushna revealed a humorous anecdote about his early days in the industry. He recalled, “It’s been around 20 years since I entered the television industry, doing comedy and even dance shows. But my first-ever stage performance, completely by accident, was with Malaika ma’am! Who would have thought I’d share the stage with her?” he laughed.
He elaborated, “It was for an event in Jaipur. My mama, Govinda ji, was supposed to perform alongside Suniel Shetty and Malaika ma’am on ‘Kajra Re.’ I was backstage with my mama and it was almost 10 PM when my mama had to leave for a flight. It was a finale performance that needed two heroes. The choreographer suddenly asked me to step in. Next thing I know, I’m on stage wearing a jacket, performing with Malaika ma’am! During the performance, Malaika subtly gestured, asking who I was, and I nervously signalled her to just keep going. That performance will always be close to my heart. Malaika ma’am, you will always be special!”
Responding with her charm, Malaika said, “I love you too much and you know that!”
