MUMBAI: The much-awaited trailer of Kesari Veer has finally dropped, and it’s Akanksha Sharma who’s stealing the spotlight. With a magnetic screen presence and a performance layered in emotional grit and physical intensity, she instantly sets herself apart in the ensemble.
When asked about her journey, Akanksha shared that, "I come from a very simple background, with no filmy connections whatsoever. I was in 12th grade, preparing for my board examinations, when I happened to watch Ramleela — and that changed everything. That’s when I realized I wanted to become an actress. I didn’t grow up with this dream, but watching the film lit something in me. And now, here I am, with my debut film. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful that I got to play Rajal — a character whose battles weren’t just on the battleground, but also within."
From the very first frame, Akanksha draws you in with quiet confidence. Whether delivering dialogue or moving through action sequences, she brings a natural strength and ease to the historical drama. Her portrayal of Rajal strikes a moving balance between power and vulnerability — a nuanced performance that lingers long after the trailer ends. In a film anchored by a powerful cast, Akanksha’s ability to leave a lasting impression is no less than an achievement.
Up next, Akanksha will be seen in Tera Yaar Hoon Main, co-starring Aman Indra Kumar and directed by Milap Zaveri, as well as in an untitled action-comedy also helmed by Zaveri.
