Riteish Deshmukh's debut production vehicle Balak Palak in Marathi, that deals with sex education, will have its world premiere at the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF) to be held in New York between 24 to 30 October.
"I'm very proud to be associated with the film. I've always believed that we could do more with regional cinema, which is already doing such great work over the last few years," said Riteish in statement.

"The script of the film has tremendous potential and the fact that it has been selected to premiere at SIAFF in New York proves that it is a story that appeals to people across beyond regional boundaries and all age groups," he added.
Co-produced by Riteish Deshmukh and Uttung Thakur, Balak Palak addresses the subject of sex education in a fun-filled way and guides parents on how to communicate with their children.
"The response we've received for the film has been extremely humbling and the entire team is very excited about seeing it grow from strength to strength in its reach and connect," observed Riteish.
