Robin Williams slashed his wrist before hanging himself, says police

It now emerges that actor Robin Williams slashed himself on his wrist before hanging himself with a belt. This is was revealed by the Marin County Sherrif's Lieutenant Keith Boyd. An elaborate statement from Boyd read: Mr Williams personal assistant was able to gain access to Mr. Williams bedroom and on entering found him clothed in a seated position, unresponsive, with a belt secured around his neck and the other end wedged between the closet door and door frame. The police also indicated that several cuts were discovered on William’s left wrist. However, the final cause of his death would only be confirmed after the completion of toxicology tests which could take a few weeks. Meanwhile, Williams untimely death has plunged not just Hollywood but also India where Williams commanded scores of die-hard aficionados.
