MUMBAI: National Award-winning music composer Devi Sri Prasad, fondly known as Rockstar DSP, is a name synonymous with chart-topping music in the Indian film industry. In his career spanning over two decades, the music maestro has been able to carve a niche for himself, proving every now and then that why he's hailed as the best thing to happen to the film industry. While he's popular for his musical contributions to films, he has also ventured into acting. The music composer made occasional appearances in films. His screen presence, though limited, added unique charm to films and a tint of excitement among his fans.
His on-screen appearances in films such as 'Shankar Dada MBBS', 'Julayi', 'Attarintiki Daredi', 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and the latest film 'Mr Bachchan' were received with open arms, with fans questioning when will DSP make his full-fledged acting debut. Previously, DSP opened up about his ambition to star in films. He mentioned that filmmakers have often reached out to him with scripts, however, he is willing to explore opportunities that bring music and acting together. He had said that he would love to do something like a musical.
