Saif Ali Khan once broke his silence on this abusive marriage with Amrita Singh

MUMBAI: Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are the power couple of the Hindi Film industry. The two romantics tied the knot in 2012, and ever since, they've had an amazing marriage. Together with their two boys, Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan, they are content in their marriage and keep sharing sweet glimpses of their family.

Before marrying Kareena however, Saif was married to former actress Amrita Singh and the duo have two kids Sara and Ibrahim together.

The actor talked about the ongoing remorse he experienced in a previous interview with The Telegraph. The actor from Hum Tum spoke candidly about the violent elements of his union with Amrita Singh. Khan asked why he was often reminded of his shortcomings as a spouse and father during the interview. He disclosed that he has a picture of his son Ibrahim in his wallet and that each time he looks at it, he gets emotional. Saif also mentioned how much he misses Sara, his daughter.

Rumors circulated at the time that Saif Ali Khan's romance with Rosa had turned him against Amrita and their children. Saif said that Amrita knew about his relationship with Rosa and called these reports baseless. The actor also discussed the financial details of the divorce, saying that he had already paid Rs 2.5 crore of the Rs 5 crore he was supposed to pay Amrita. Additionally, Saif was giving his son Ibrahim Rs 1 lakh a month till the latter reached 18. The Adipurush actor clarified that his goal in working on stage productions, movies, or ads was always to support his family.

Saif Ali Khan went on to talk about his breakup with Amrita Singh and his relationship with Rosa. He said that it is difficult to live with the continual reminder of one's own worthlessness and to put up with abuse, insults, and taunts aimed at one's mother and sister. Saif disclosed that he experienced all of that. But being with Rosa made him feel better. Rosa, he thought, was the one person who truly made him feel important. He wondered what the problem was with being worthy of someone new.
