Superstar Salman Khan was recently in the news for allegedly removing a song sung by Arijit Singh in Sultan.
While the singer was rather vocal about the controversy, Salman had kept mum on the issue.
But all that’s changed as the Sultan actor has just spoken about the row…in typical Sallu style to a popular youth site.
When he was asked to comment on the issue, he apparently said, "Who is that (Arijit Singh)?” even before the question could be completed, the site added.
"In every film there are lot of singers who sing and director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected, so why get so upset and so hurt. This is life," Salman told the site.
The actor, who’s gearing up for his Eid special Sultan opposite Anushka Sharma this month, added further to the site, "There should be a day when a person (actor) should say don't sing or sing. Smart ones don't turn out bright. Then smart comments ... post... they don't... you come to know the intentions."
The Tum Hi Ho singer issued a public apology to the Sultan of Bollywood due to a misunderstanding that cost Arijit a song in Sultan. Arijit is said to have unintentionally slighted Salman at an event.
Even though it was done without malice, it rubbed the Khan megastar the wrong way. So much so that he apparently removed Arijit’s song from Sultan.
The singer, who allegedly tried to apologize to Sallu at every occasion and through common friends, posted a public appeal on Facebook.
Let’s wait and watch for more updates on this…
