Salman's plea against conviction adjourned to July 1

The Bombay High Court on Monday adjourned till July 1 Bollywood actor Salman Khan's appeal against his conviction in a September 2002 accident case by a lower court. The Sessions Court had on May 6 convicted the actor to five years' imprisonment for various charges, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Salman appealed against the conviction in Bombay High Court which suspended his sentence and subsequently granted him bail. The superstar has been convicted for ramming his car into a bakery in Bandra west, killing one pavement dweller and injuring four others, on September 28, 2002. (Source: IANS)
