MUMBAI : Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is all set to release on 25th January 2023. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles. While the trailer and the songs have created a decent pre-release buzz, the movie might face many hurdles at the box office.

The Kashmir Files re-release
The Kashmir Files is one of the most successful films of 2022. The movie had taken a slow start, but it went on to collect Rs. 252.90 crores at the box office. Now, on 19th January 2023, the movie is going to get a re-release as it’s the Kashmiri Hindu Genocide Day. The film will release a few days before Pathaan, but if it once again takes the momentum at the box office like last year, then it might be a hurdle for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.
Deleted scenes to be added in Ved
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh starrer Ved has been doing very well at the box office. Now, this week, the makers have decided to add deleted scenes and a song to the film. In Maharashtra, Pathaan might face a tough competition from Ved.
Gandhi Godse – EK Yudh
It’s content vs commercial during the Republic Weekend. Pathaan looks like a proper commercial action film, and Gandhi Godse – EK Yudh looks like a movie with high-on content. It will be interesting to see what audience will prefer a movie with high-on content or a commercial film.
