In a shocking incident, actress Shamita Shetty was verbally abused in a road-rage incident, while her driver was slapped and threatened. The incident took place at around 1.30 PM near Viviana Mall in Thane on Tuesday (January 29th).
As per media reports, a motorist, who was accompanied by two of his friends, rammed his car into Shamita’s vehicle, and when Shamita's driver Darshan Sawant stopped the car to inspect the damage, the three accused picked up a fight.
Not only did they abuse the actress but also slapped and threatened Darshan. The three accused are yet to be identified, but her driver has provided the details of their vehicle, and an FIR has been filed against the trio.
Shamita was in Thane for personal work.
A case has been registered at the Rabodi Police Station under sections 279, 323, 504, 506, 427, and 34 of the Indian Penal code. An offense has been filed against the trio, who are on the run. However, the car involved in the accident has been identified, said the police.
