MUMBAI: Salman Khan has worked with innumerable actresses in his decades-long career in the Hindi film industry.
Among them are Bhagyashree, Nagma, Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif and others. While many of the divas made it big in Bollywood, some of the actresses who appeared opposite Salman Khan disappeared from the industry after trying their luck in films.
One such actress was Chandni who was cast opposite Salman Khan in the film 'Sanam Bewafa'. Salman's 1991 film, which was released almost 30 years ago, was a super hit. But despite the success of the film, Chandni whose real name is Navodita Sharma, hardly did any films and disappeared from the scene after her last release 'Hahakaar' in 1996.
Here's where she is now and what she looks like.
Chandni (real name Navodita Sharma) made her debut in the Hindi film industry opposite superstar Salman Khan. According to reports, while she was still in college, Chandani saw an advertisement to cast the female lead for the film 'Sanam Befawa'. She filled the form and later got selected as Salman's heroine in the film. 'Sanam Bewafa' went on to be a blockbuster, however, Chandani could not establish herself in the industry immediately after the film's success because of her contract with Saawan Kumar Tak, the director & producer of the film. By the time the contract was withdrawn, it was too late for Chandani to establish herself as a leading female artist in the industry.
Salman Khan's 'Sanam Bewafa' co-star Chandni later appeared as second female lead in a few films like '1942 A Love Story', 'Mr. Azaad' and 'Jai Kishan'. After her unsuccessful stint, Chandni quit films when she had no offers in hand. In total Chandni did 11 films and her last release was 'Hahakaar' in 1996.

In 1994, Chandni married US-based Satish Sharma and later moved to Florida, USA. As per reports, Chandni has two daughters, Karishma and Kareena whom she named after Bollywood heroines Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
After moving to the US, Chandni (Navodita Sharma) opened C Stuidos Inc to promote a connection to culture and heritage through dance. "Dance styles taught at the studio are a reflection of Chandni's vision and background. She combines several dance methods to make lessons fun. Each class is an experience in Classical, Traditional, and Bollywood styles with a Latin or hip hop twist to make the genre more relevant to the younger generation," reads the description on her LinkedIn account.
